A lifelong seeker of wisdom, Marissa began formally studying witchcraft in 1999, completing her year and a day as a solitary practitioner before dedicating herself to Diana and the path of the witch. Although she was raised Roman Catholic, her spiritual journey ultimately led her to embrace Paganism and a lifelong devotion to the Old Ways.
Her spiritual practice is deeply rooted in the understanding that all things are connected through energy and vibration. She strives to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature, honoring the elements, the changing seasons, the cycles of the Moon, and the interconnectedness of all life. She also maintains a deep reverence for her ancestors, believing that the wisdom and strength of those who came before continue to shape and guide her journey.
Marissa’s path is inspired by the Divine Feminine through her devotion to Diana, Minerva, and Hecate. She also feels a profound spiritual connection to the mythic figure of Aradia, daughter of Diana, whose story of empowerment, wisdom, and the transmission of the Old Ways has long resonated with her own understanding of witchcraft and service to the community. This connection reflects the values that guide her life: personal sovereignty, compassion, continual learning, and helping others discover their own inner power.
As the Founder and Creator of Sin City Witches, Marissa has spent more than a decade creating educational programs, public rituals, workshops, festivals, networking events, charitable initiatives, and social gatherings that bring together witches, Pagans, mystics, and the spiritually curious in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Her work has helped foster one of Las Vegas’s most vibrant metaphysical communities, centered on education, respect, collaboration, and authentic connection.
